British Apple Season arrives early

The early warm weather this year has led to an earlier harvest of British Apples. Varieties such as Discovery that wouldn't normally be ready until the beginning of next month are ripe already, and with the expectation that Cox and Gala apples will be ready for picking up to a week earlier than expected later in the season we could be enjoying apples a little earlier than usual.

Make the most of this early season and keep an eye out in local green grocers and supermarkets for British apples.
