Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Reserve 1 cup dry cake mix.

Combine remaining cake mix, 1 egg and oil. Press this on the bottom of a greased pie pan. In same bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar. Add 3 eggs and rest of cake mix. Beat at medium speed for 1 minute.

At low speed, add milk and flavoring. Pour mixture into crust. Bake at 300 degrees F. for 45 to 55 minutes until center is firm.

When cool, top with cherry pie filling.
