Scones are really easy to make and be served with a varitey of toppings. My favourite has to be cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam!

Cooking Instructions:
Sift flour and salt into a bowl.

Rub the butter into the mixture until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Add all the milk and mix into a soft dough, but make sure it is not sticky.

Lightly flour a work surface and knead the dough quickly until it is smooth. Then roll out until about 1cm thick.

Cut into 8 rounds using a 6.5cm biscuit cutter.
Transfer to a greased baking sheet and brush the tops with milk.

Bake at 230oC/Gas Mark 8 for 10 minutes until risen and golden.

Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.

Serve with your choice of topping.

225g Self raising flour
1/2 tsp Salt
50g Butter
150ml Milk (extra for brushing)
