Hawaiian Pulled Pork

Cooking Instructions:
1. Remove the layer of fat that is on the top of the shoulder
2. Sprinkle the pork with the paprika and pepper and rub in on all sides
3. With the exception of the carrot and onion, mix all the other ingredients together, put the pork in a dish and cover with the marinade. Leave for a few hours or overnight if you can.
4. When you are ready to cook the pork, turn the slow cooker onto high and add the onion and carrot to the bottom of the pot to support your pork.
5. Take the pork out of the marinade and sit it on top of the vegetables and then pour the marinade over the pork.
6. After 1 hour turn the slow cooker down to low and leave for 8 hours
7. When ready to serve, pull the pork into strips using two forks.

Serve with veggies or rice or works perfectly in soft rolls for a party or BBQ
1.5kg Pork Shoulder
2-3 Medium Onions (peeled & thickly sliced)
2-3 Medium Carrots (peeled & halved lengthways)
1tbsp Smoked Paprika
1tsp Ground Black Pepper
142g Can of Tomato Puree
1-2tbsp Chilli Sauce
435g Can of Crushed Pineapple in Juice
60ml Light Soy Sauce
60ml Teriyaki Marinade
100g Soft Light Brown Sugar
2 garlic cloves crushed
1tsp grated fresh ginger (approx 1" piece)
